Two screens: one showing the BAFS PPP loan forgiveness application in progress and the other a confirmation message the application has been successfully submitted

The overview.

To soften the pandemic’s financial blow, congress enacted the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). This was a much-needed boost to the economy as a whole. But Business Alliance Financial Services (BAFS) was at risk of being unable to support small business clients at this crucial moment. The company lacked an internal tool to help clients properly leverage government aid.

The solution.

In a few short weeks, Bitovi's UX team worked to understand the needs of BAFS’ users, defined a minimum viable product, and supported Bitovi developers to bring the experience to life. While collaborating with the client, our team created an all-new website that BAFS could use to submit PPP loan applications.

The value.

BAFS was one of the only credit union service organizations in the country to successfully support small businesses at scale. The online portal guided bankers through the complicated process of submitting an application, ensuring small businesses had the financial support they desperately needed.

We worked with business and banking requirements to provide the design for a safe and secure application

I want this team to know how awesome it has been these past few days here at BAFS. We are the only CUSO in the country that has weathered the PPP storm with any kind of success. There are credit unions and banks all over the country struggling to get these loans setup. Thank you all for your hard work and long hours during the dev phase of this.
