Platform engineering consulting

Internal developer platforms your teams want to use

Bitovi's senior platform engineers embed with your team to build self-service platforms on Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud tooling, then hand over a platform you own.

The Production Readiness Review

Almost all self-hosted platforms fail in the same three places

Most teams add high availability and disaster recovery after launch, size infrastructure without a capacity baseline, and build observability after the first incident.

The Production Readiness Review is a structured assessment of your self-hosted platform against those three gaps. Bitovi engineers scope it to the systems you run and the risks that matter most, so you fix problems before launch.

  • What's covered in the review?

  • Capacity and sizing

    Capacity and sizing

Resource limits, load baselines, and headroom for growth.
  • High availability and disaster recovery

    High availability and disaster recovery

Multi-zone and multi-region posture, failover, and recovery testing.
  • Observability and security

    Observability and security

Metrics, tracing, alerting, secrets, and access controls as launch gates.
  • Runbooks and organizational readiness

    Runbooks and organizational readiness

Documented procedures, clear ownership and access, and no single person holding the keys.
  • Platform idioms

    Platform idioms

Correct usage patterns for the tools you run, such as Temporal and Kestra workers and workflows.

Services

Platform engineering services

  • Golden paths and automation

We design opinionated workflows that take a service from first commit to production with security, observability, and deployment wired in, built on GitOps, infrastructure as code, and pipelines in GitHub Actions, Harness, and Terraform. We run the platform like a product, with real users, a roadmap, and DORA-backed adoption metrics. When the supported path is also the easiest way to ship, teams adopt it on their own and your standards spread without mandates.
  • Observability and reliability

We build observability into the platform itself, so every service ships with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts from its first deploy. We work with your teams to set SLOs that reflect what your users actually experience, tune alerting so on-call engineers get paged for real problems, and put incident runbooks in place before they're needed. Teams inherit reliability from the platform instead of each one building it on their own.
  • AI-ready platforms

AI coding agents are joining your developer population. We help you design for Agent Experience (AX): machine-readable APIs, documentation, and guardrails that let agents work safely on your platform. Security and FinOps "shift down" into the platform so neither developers nor agents carry that load by hand.
  • Internal developer platforms

We configure the tools and resources your developers need, build an abstraction layer over them, and give your teams a single self-service interface. Complex tools like Kubernetes and Helm become a platform developers can use without filing a ticket.

What to expect from a Bitovi engagement

  • Production readiness review

A focused, low-commitment assessment of your current platform. You leave with a scored report and a prioritized roadmap, which works well as the business case for a larger investment.
  • Platform build

A defined scope and outcome, such as standing up an internal developer platform, a golden path for a new service type, or a self-hosted platform like Temporal. Senior platform engineers work alongside your teams, inside your company's ecosystem: your codebase, your tools, and your standups.
  • Ongoing platform support

Operations support, upgrades, and roadmap work after launch, plus training so your team owns the platform with confidence.

Common Starting Points

"Every team deploys differently and our senior engineers are the bottleneck."
"We're self-hosting Temporal and want to know if it's ready for production traffic."
"We need high availability and disaster recovery before we scale to more regions."
"We want AI coding agents working in our codebase without creating new risk."

Why Bitovi?

No upsell or lock-in

We aren't here to sell you more hours. Everything we build lives in your repositories, is documented, and is something your team can run and change without us. We pair with your engineers as we go, so the knowledge stays when we leave. If you bring us back, it should be because the work spoke for itself.

Bitovi has delivered consulting engagements since 2006. Our engineers run Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, and self-hosted Temporal in production for clients, and we bring the patterns we have seen across those engagements to yours.

When the engagement ends, your team keeps:

  • Code in your repos

Infrastructure, pipelines, and config you own.

  • Docs and runbooks

How it works and what to do when it breaks.

  • Tests and SLOs

Proof it still works after every change.

  • A team that runs it

Engineers who built it alongside us.

Client testimonials

In their words

We've now brought Bitovi back for a third engagement, first to stand up self-hosted Temporal, then for ongoing operations support, and now to help us plan our move to a multi-cluster, multi-region setup. Bitovi has proven themselves time and again, when we have trouble with Temporal we know who to call.

Getting Temporal running self-hosted inside our FedRAMP environment was an absolute must-have for our product. Like any FedRAMP build, we hit road bumps, but every time we did, Bitovi came to us with a solution, not just a problem.
